Behind The Project

This vacation rental property near the Joshua Tree National Park in California, was not converting site visitors to a booking, mainly due to the fact that the design did not portray the experience of actually staying at the Oasis.

We completely redesigned the site using the client’s great photography to produce a much warmer and more inviting experience to the visitor and added a WordPress blog. It’s easier to use and gets the message across in a clearer and more informative way.

Paul has taken what I had thought was a relatively decent initial design, to whole new level. Whether because of more rental saturation in the Joshua Tree area, or competitive rates from other vacation rentals, bottom line was we weren't getting the type of traffic we had been experiencing in years past.

Paul suggested that I take another look at my website. First, and foremost he said that we needed to really try branding our site. Most of viewers were taking a look at the home page, the rates page, and then leaving. The trick was, to keep our viewers touring within our site.

Who were we specifically targeting? What type of demographic? What type of vacations are people looking to have when staying at your place? What activities do my clientele like to do? All were vital questions that I had not even thought to ask myself when initially constructing our site. Plus, we needed more alluring shots to grab people's attention.

As you can see from the before and after Joshua Tree Oasis sites, Paul is a master of his craft. But, please don't hire him, because he's currently working for me...
